The Miss Florida Pageant folks recruited me as the 'Official Photographer' for
their 1982 contest and I accepted because, at the time, I was fascinated with
photographing beautiful women (I still am, by the way). The night of the event,
Orlando's Bob Carr Auditorium was packed with fans and family; the participants
giddy with excitement. I set up my camera and tripod at the rear of the
auditorium and made quite a few exposures. This is my best shot, made when the
master of ceremonies asked the ladies to turn around, show off their backsides .
